Meet Our Called Worker

Welcome to Divine Word!  Let me take a moment to tell you a bit about myself.  My name is Scott Wolfram, a Wisconsinite by birth (from Watertown).  I lived in Watertown for 18 years, attending one of our Synod's fine prep schools, Northwestern/Luther Prep School from 1993-1996.  My college years were spent training for the pastoral ministry at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. After that, it was back to Wisconsin, attending Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon.  I served as a vicar (pastoral internship) in Cary/Apex, NC from 2002-2003 before graduating from the Seminary in 2004.  From there I was assigned to Christ Lutheran in Juneau, Alaska, where I served from 2004-2011.  In March, 2011 I accepted the call to serve as pastor of Divine Word.

I married my wonderful wife Stephanie in July of 2002.  She is a native of Toledo, OH and after going to high school in Saginaw, MI, college in New Ulm and teaching for a couple years in Onalaska, WI, is used to midwest living.  In our free time we enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities from running to biking to hiking.  When the weather doesn't allow it, we enjoy working out in various strength training and spin classes at a local gym.

The "kids" are two Shiba Inus, Kietsu and Kai.  We'd be half than truthful if we said they aren't the ones who really run the house.  They definitely keep us on our toes!

My primary duties at Divine Word include preaching, overseeing overall ministry direction, coordinating worship services, teaching large and small group Bible studies, financial stewardship, elder ministry, youth ministry through high school, counseling, weddings and funerals. I look forward to meeting you sometime either in worship or outside of it.  May Jesus bless your day and thank you for taking the time to check out our website!
